What is Baikaler?
Baikaler - it is me, Jack Sheremetoff. I was born and rased in Irkutsk, Russia (View Google Map). I've been working as a guide for lake Baikal since 1998.
My missionTo gain financial and moral satisfaction via honest and transparent activities.
What I do?
I run / own the hostel in the center of Irkutsk, and arrange variety of tours around lake Baikal. Car transfers and water cruises can be arranged too.
A room / bed in the apartment in Listvyanka, lake Baikal can be easily arranged.
What I do NOT do?
Letters of invitations to obtain
Russian Visa, train or plane tickets.
I am listed in the Lonely Planet guidebookes, Thomas Bryn Trans-Siberian Handbook and some other guidebooks.

- Irkutsk University graduate (mining) in 1992 (Soviet Union had just
collapsed)
- Chinese chicken noodles sales manager (years of wild capitalism)
- Studied Economics in the Glorious Country of Kazakstan 1995-1997
- Worked there in the oilfield as a technical translator for a Canadian
company
- Sales Rep in a Telecommunication company in Irkutsk till financial collapse
in August 1998
