Walking city tour

- visit a central square where there is a nice combination of a Roman Catholic Church, the Church of Savior and Irkutsk Oblast' Administration building. This is where Russian Cossacks built a small wooden fort in 1652.

- visit a monument dedicated to the completion of Moscow - Irkutsk line of Trans-Siberian in 1898. A bronze statue of Alexander III (who actually initiated the great railway contraction) was nocked down in 1920s... It disappeared soon after. The statue has been replicated and erected again in October 2003.

- Visiting a lace house - a great example of Siberian wooden architecture built in the end of IXX century for the Shastins - well known Irkutsk traders.

- visit the out of beaten track, the nicest Church of Mother of our Lord and the Saint Prince Vladimir monastery.
