Baikaler Hostel Description Jack Sheremetoff, a Lonely Planet recommended guide, welcomes you to stay in his Baikaler Hostel (he'd rather call it a '3 guest room apartment') in the epicenter of Irkutsk (corner of Lenin and Karl Marks streets). The location of the hostel is unbeatably central and ultimately convenient. You can walk everywhere you need within minutes: ATM (3 min), pizza or restaurant (5 – 15 min), Art Museum and supermarket (15 min), Angara river (15 min) The hostel has all facilities, good shower, clean and roomy. All the rooms are separated, have comfortable beds and well lit. There are 3 rooms for guests: LONG rooms is a 4 bed mixed dorm (1 bunk bed + 2 beds), GREEN room is a 2 bed twin and BALCONY room is a 5 beds mixed dorm (2 bunk beds + 1 bed). Toilet and shower are shared! IMPORTANT NOTE: Fast and smooth visa registration is arranged upon request (add 300 Rub per visa). Tours to lake Baikal, transfers to Listvyanka or Olkhon island and other destinations can be arranged. Suggestions on how and where to go in Irkutsk or lake Baikal. Also, you are welcome to join our ongoing tours (if any) Welcome to Baikaler Hostel! Please note that due massive number of changing plans, shifting arrival dates and no shows, I leave a right to provide alternative accommodation in one of the centrally located homestays / hostels for the same rate if your booking is messed up. Please keep in mind that all trains in Russia run on Moscow time (Irkutsk time = Moscow time + 5hr). So if you train ticket says: arrival time is 3 am that in fact means 8am local time.
