Description of the 5 day / 4 night tour to Krestovka and Olkhon Day 1 Depart by road to Krestovka. The distance between Irkutsk is 225 km,
from which 210 of the paved road can be covered in 3 hrs. The last 15
km of the forest road will consume as long as 1 hr of driving through
the lonely fields and forests. Home cooked lunch at the farm. Afternoon activities: Walking to the hill nearby to enjoy the panorama of the lake. If the air is not hazy or foggy, the delta of the Selenga river could be seen. Inspecting the remains of the ancient fortress. Accommodation: wooden house, no running water, outhouse, electricity in evenings. Linings, towel. Day 2 Hike to the White Wall. The distance between the farm and the Wall is
6 km. Depending on the physical abilities, the hike route could go along
the shore there and back (difficult), forest/steppe there and back along
the shore (moderate) and forest/steppe both ways (easy) Day 3 Depart by road for Olkhon Island. Distances: More Detailed Description Olkhon Tour Lunch Accommodation: Staying with a fisherman's family, simple wooden house. No running water, toilet is outside. Afternoon hike to observe spectacular Burkhan stone - Shamanka. Dinner Staying with a fisherman's family. Electricity. Russian banya / Sauna.

Krestovsky Bay is one of the few places on the lake which is only 15km away from the main road to Olkhon island, but still unknown for mass tourism. A private cow farm owner built couple of wooden cabins for their friends and tourists.
