1 Day Ice Cycling Tour: ultimate activity for a sporty couple!

Description of the tour

You'll be picked up at 10am and driven to the village of Listvyanka (70km.1 hr). In Listvyanka, we get 2 bicycles.

The 21 gear bikes fit most of average sized people (150 - 180sm, optimum for 170-175sm). One bike has a standard frame, another one has a lady frame. Both bikes have winter tires.

Depending on your desire, we can cycle either towards Port Baikal and further along the Curcum Baikal Railway to see the tunnels (total distance is up to 20km) or we can cycle North - towards Bolshie Koty village and back (total distance is up to 36km). In both directions we will be using car tracks so we cycle on a dense snow (which is easier).

However, we may have to cycle on a virgin snow somewhere (which is not easy). If you believe this is too far or too hard, we can shorten our cycling distance.

So, we cycle to one of those places, then return to the village, store the bikes, visit a cafe (not included) and drive back to Irkutsk by 7-8pm.

What to take: sun glasses, warm socks, warm gloves.

It is strongly recommended to wear proper boots with warm socks! It is also very useful to have a hood. Keep in mind that it may get windy and that it is colder on ice (esp. for your feet!) then in the city. Be prepared to realize that ice cycling is not the same as what you do at home.
